Our School

At Ladybird Preschool, we are committed to nurturing each child's natural curiosity through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Our carefully designed play environments provide rich opportunities for sensory exploration, supporting holistic development and a lifelong love of learning.

"Little Ladybird" Play Area

The Little Ladybird Play Area is a dedicated space thoughtfully designed for our youngest children, aged 1 to 3 years. This secure and nurturing environment is exclusively reserved for our two youngest age groups, ensuring they can explore, play, and grow at their own pace. Featuring age-appropriate equipment such as a custom jungle gym, gentle swings, and other carefully selected play sets, the area promotes physical development, sensory exploration, and social interaction in a safe and supportive setting tailored to their unique needs.

Ladybird Outdoor Area

Our outdoor play area for the 3–5-year-old age group is a vibrant and stimulating space designed to support active exploration and imaginative play. This specially designated area features a large, multi-level jungle gym that encourages climbing, balancing, and physical development. A dedicated bike track allows children to build confidence and coordination while riding, and a charming playhouse invites creative role-play and social interaction. With a variety of additional play equipment and open space, this area fosters independence, teamwork, and joyful discovery in a safe, engaging environment.

The Quite Room

The Quiet Room at Ladybird Pre-Primary offers a calm, comforting space where children can unwind, read quietly, or simply take a break from the day's activities. Thoughtfully furnished to create a peaceful atmosphere, this room supports emotional well-being and self-regulation. It also serves as a safe, nurturing space for any child who may be feeling unwell while they wait to be collected by their parents, ensuring they are cared for with warmth and sensitivity.

The Veggie Garden

Our vegetable garden is a cherished part of the Ladybird Pre-Primary experience, offering children a hands-on opportunity to connect with nature and learn about where food comes from. By planting, nurturing, and harvesting their own fruits and vegetables, children develop a sense of responsibility, patience, and respect for the environment. This interactive outdoor classroom encourages curiosity about healthy eating, sustainability, and the natural world, laying the foundation for lifelong habits of wellness and environmental awareness.

Classrooms

At Ladybird Pre-Primary, our classrooms are thoughtfully organized into age-specific groups to support each stage of early development with tailored care and learning experiences. The Rainbow Group welcomes our youngest babies, aged 3 to 12 months, in a nurturing and gentle environment that focuses on comfort, sensory exploration, and secure attachments. The Yellow Group (1–2 years) and Orange Group (2–3 years) offer inviting spaces that encourage mobility, language development, and discovery through play. As children grow, they move into the Red Group (3–4 years), where learning becomes more structured through creative activities and social interaction. Finally, the Green Group (4–5 years) prepares children for the transition to formal schooling with a focus on independence, problem-solving, and early literacy and numeracy skills—all within a warm, supportive classroom setting.

The Nursery

Our nursery at Ladybird Pre-Primary is a unique and cherished part of our school, proudly offering care for babies as young as 3 months old—something few preschools provide. This newly renovated space has been thoughtfully designed to be warm, safe, and calming, creating the perfect environment for our littlest learners. The nursery is led by a dedicated, qualified teacher supported by an experienced assistant, ensuring that each baby receives personalised attention, nurturing care, and gentle stimulation throughout the day. We are deeply committed to providing a loving and secure start to each child’s early journey.
